To fulfill the demand for service user involvement, Namsos officials requested a UIU be conducted on their services. The focus for the service was seeing what and how did the services work, and what areas could be improved according to the users.
The access to written information was lacking, and there was a general wish for contact personnel that could assist in matters regarding rights and services. Few had any knowledge to the terms like service user involvement or individual plan.
Support teams were seen as one of the most important measures among those with experiences from these.
There was, despite this, a high level of satisfaction in Namsos’ services.
